David W. Campbell ’71 died on December 17, 2015, in Brighton, Massachusetts.

Dr. Campbell was a resident of Brighton, Massachusetts, at the time of his passing.
He was educated at Bowdoin College and received his Master’s Degree and Doctorate Degree from the University of Michigan.
He was married to Tomoko.
Dave was the last President of the Delta Psi chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity. I and Brother Dick Drukker ‘73 were the last in the Chapter to be initiated into Sigma Nu according to the prescribed ritual. Dave was the initiating officer. I was Steward during his term. At the time of his being elected there was a philosophical split between the “jocks “ and the “brains.” Dave, though considered one of the “brains”, as President, tried to mediate between them but to no avail. This left him feeling abandoned by everyone. The dissention between the factions caused many members to leave. This led to the dissolution of the Chapter. At my ‘72 reunions Sigma Nu numbers are much reduced but we remember our last President.
