Kenneth Anthony Berlandi ’59

Kenneth Anthony Berlandi ’59, a long-time Boston teacher and school administrator, died on March 8, 2009, in Westborough, Massachusetts.

He was born Anthony Kenneth Berlandi in Boston on August 28, 1936, and prepared for college at Boston English High School and Lawrence Academy. At Bowdoin, he was a member of Zeta Psi fraternity. He earned a bachelor’s degree in education from State College in Boston in 1966. He was a teacher and administrator for 35 years in the Boston Public School system, and was an active volunteer. He was a Cub Scout leader for four years, and won a scouting award for his work. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Patricia M. Doherty Berlandi; a son, Michael K. Berlandi; a daughter, Karen A. Howard; a stepson, William C. Griffin IV; a stepdaughter, Jennifer K. Griffin; a brother, Joseph J. Berlandi; a sister, Barbara L. Santosuosso; and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Kenneth A. “Bruno” Berlandi II.
