Richard J. McCarthy ’51

Richard J. McCarthy ’51 died November 20, 2013, in Salem, Mass. He was born in Melrose, Mass., on October 12, 1923, and prepared for college at Malden (Mass.) High School and Dean Academy. Upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in the Marine Corps and was stationed for three years in Hawaii. Following his discharge as a sergeant, he did a prep year at Dean before entering Bowdoin, where he was a member of Zeta Psi fraternity. Continue reading

Albert M. Rogers ’51

Albert M. Rogers ’51 died September 10, 2014, in Rockland. He was born in Rockland on May 17, 1929. He contracted polio in second grade but recovered enough to return to school after several months.
