Robert F. Corliss ’51 died on June 13, 2018, in Dedham, Massachusetts.

Robert F. Corliss, a resident of Dedham, passed away on June 13, 2018, at the age of 88. Born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, he was the son of Ellis and Erna (Ackerman) Corliss. A veteran of the Korean war, serving in the United States Army, Mr. Corliss was extremely proud of his military service. He earned a BA in history and was planning to be an educator but this changed after taking a law exam with his Army buddies. He then decided on becoming a lawyer and earned a degree from Harvard Law School.
Mr. Corliss is survived by his wife Virginia (Butler) and his sons, Emerson Corliss of Dedham and Ethan Corliss and his wife Pamela Schaefer of Cambridge, along with his grandchildren, Sarah Amanda Corliss of South Carolina and James Emerson Corliss, who is currently serving in the Army in Korea; and Akalu and Lynasha Schaefer.
So sorry to learn of Bob’s passing. So many happy memories. May he rest in peace. All the best to you and your family.
