Richard G. Briggs ’59 died March 21, 2013, at his home in Belpre, Ohio. He was born in Bangor on June 11, 1937, son of the late Gordon D. Briggs ’33, and prepared for college at Hampden Academy and Hebron Academy. Glenn H. Matthews ’59 died July 17, 2013, in Wilmot, N.H., of Alzheimer’s disease. He was born on June 28, l937, in Quincy, Mass., and prepared for college at Braintree (Mass.) High School. Ronald E. Tripp ’59

Ronald E. Tripp ’59 died May 28, 2013, in Limington. He was born in Portland on June 22, 1937, and graduated as salutatorian of South Portland High School’s class of 1955. He played football and threw javelin at high school and at Bowdoin, where he was a member of Zeta Psi fraternity. After Bowdoin, he joined Tripp Oil Company, a family business begun by his parents in 1933, and remained active in the business until its sale in 1983. Continue reading
