Frank Lee Hitchcock ’59

Frank Lee Hitchcock ’59 died on August 2, 2003, in Tucson, Arizona.

Born on May 1, 1937, in Boston, he prepared for college at Weston, MA, and became a member of Psi Upsilon Fraternity at Bowdoin. Following his graduation in 1959, he joined Ludlow Textile Products, a division of Ludlow Corporation, where he was a territory sales manager, with headquarters in Georgia and then New Jersey. In 1971, he became vice president for sales with Dansak Distributors in Phoenix, AZ, and in 1976 became the owner of Floor Covering Associates in Phoenix. Later on he was associated with Copperstate Carpet Service there. In 1989, he moved to Tucson, where he sold pool chemicals for Chem Lab Products, Inc. He was a member of the University of Arizona President’s Club, the Desert Club, and the Tucson Country Club. Surviving are his mother, Ruth Hitchcock of Tucson; two sons, Jay Hitchcock and Alec Hitchcock; and a daughter, Anne Hitchcock.
