Ray S. Bicknell, coach emeritus of men’s basketball and women’s soccer, died November 11, 2013, in Falmouth. He joined Bowdoin in 1962 after a distinguished fifteen-year high school career. Charles Cole Sr. died December 1, 2014, in Brunswick. He worked at Bowdoin for twenty years in various capacities in athletics, facilities, and dining, and was made an honorary member of the Bowdoin Alumni Association.
Anna E. Courson died December 28, 2011, in Brunswick. She was born in Soldier Pond on July 9, 1914, the thirteenth of 15 children. She left school after the ﬁfth grade and spent much of her early life caring for nieces and nephews. Continue reading
