Michael W. Cobb, dining service staff from 1977-2018, died on August 30, 2022, in Augusta, Maine.

Michael W. Cobb, age 68, of Bowdoin died Tuesday, August 30 at Alford Center for Health in Augusta.
He was born August 25, 1954, in Brunswick, the son of Robert Edward and Mary Savage Cobb.
He attended Brunswick schools, graduating high school in 1972. He studied to be an electrician at a technical school in Calais, ME.
He worked for forty-one years in dining services at Bowdoin College, retiring in 2018.
Mike loved sports, especially the Red Sox and Bruins and spent 36 years as a Bowdoin hockey fan. He enjoyed spending time with the gang at the Richmond Dunkin.
He liked to read novels, especially Harry Potter books.
He is predeceased by his father, Edward.
He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Ruth Lavigne Cobb, his mother, Mary Cobb, his children, Tammy Helton and her husband, Glenn, of Kentucky, Nicole Gibbs and her husband, Joshua, of Richmond, and his son, Joseph Cobb and his wife, Stacey, of Bath, brothers Robert, Thomas, and Timothy Cobb, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and several cousins and nieces and nephews.
