Roland A. Hall

Roland A. Hall, longtime custodian, died on February 29, 2008.

Born on April 27, 1911, in Freeport, Maine., he was raised and educated in Brunswick and was employed at the College for 30 years. He was employed at Bath Iron Works before World War II, and he served in the Army during the war as an x-ray technician at the 217th General Hospital in Paris, France. He was a member of Berean Baptist Church, where he was a deacon for more than 25 years, and he had a life- long interest in aviation. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Boone) Hall, whom he married in 1942; a daughter, Kathaleen Hall Torrence of Virginia Beach,Va.; a son, David Hall of Bow, N.H.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Eva H.Tuttle of Tennessee.
