Alfred L. Heymann ’45 died April 19, 2012, in Garberville, Calif. He was born in Roxbury, Mass., on December 22, 1922, and prepared for college at Roxbury Memorial High School and Bridgton Academy. He attended Bowdoin from 1941 to 1942 and served to corporal in the Army during World War II. He worked as a self-employed manufacturing representative from 1946 to 1959 and as a sales manager at Keller-Scroll Inc. in Miami from 1959 to 1964. He was president and general manager of W. Contemporary Homes Inc. in Maryland, president and general manager of Florentine Forge Inc. from 1972 to 1974, and Sunline Industries Inc. from 1974 to 1975. He also was proprietor, president, and general manager of Alfred L. Heymann, Inc. in Medford, N.J. He married Lillian Bunshaft on August 17, 1947, and they had two sons, Stanley and Bruce. He is survived by his brother, Melvin I. Heymann ’48.
