Bruce Gordon Elliott ’64 died on September 21, 2002, in Valrico, Florida.
Born on May 3, 1942, in Melrose, MA, he prepared for college at Melrose High School and became a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity at Bowdoin. Following his graduation in 1964, he served in the U.S. Navy for four years, attaining the rank of lieutenant, and then became a sales trainee in Palatine, IL, with the AMSCO Division of the Union Oil Company of California. After a year as a salesman in Detroit, MI, he returned to California in 1971 as a senior salesman in the Oakland area. In 1974, he was appointed marketing representative-polymers for the Southeast United States, at AMSCO’s regional office in Charlotte, NC. He later became the owner of All Seasons Landscaping in Charlotte, and then became retail manager of Lowe’s in Cary, NC. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Hollenack Elliott, whom he married in 1968; three sons, Bruce G. Elliott, Jr. of Brandon, FL, James Elliott of Charlotte, NC, and Brian Elliott of Brandon; his mother, Marion Ringland of Stoneham, MA, a sister, Barbara Sullivan of Tewksbury, MA; a brother, Larry Packwood of Sedgwick; and two grandchildren.
