Daniel H. Silver ’53 died May 28, 2013, at his home in Somerville, Mass. He was born in Melrose, Mass., on April 25, 1931, and prepared for college at Philips Academy Andover and Browne and Nichols Preparatory School. He was a member of Psi Upsilon fraternity. He earned a bachelor of laws degree in 1958 and a master of laws in 1968, both at Boston University School of Law, where he was editor of the Law Review. He served as a first lieutenant in the Army Infantry from 1953 to 1955, and worked as a tax attorney at several large firms in the Boston area for many years until his retirement. He is survived by son Daniel F. Silver; daughter Jennifer M. Silver; two grandchildren; and former wife Elisabeth Ross Hatfield. He was predeceased by daughter Katharine Silver and sister Constance Hill.
