Edward P. Rindler ’63 died on November 3, 2015, in Washington, DC.

Rindler, Dr. Edward P. Of Washington, D.C., on November 3, 2015. Beloved son of the late Sidney L. and Edythe J. (Oken) Rindler. Loving brother of Marj Austin, Alan Rindler, and the late Richard Rindler. Dear uncle of Lisa Rindler, Emily Rindler, Sara Adland, Erica Siegel, Ethan Austin, and Alex Rindler. Dr. Rindler was a graduate of Bowdoin College and earned his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. He was employed as the Chief of the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Group for the United States Department of State. He was also the founder of Finestkind Lobster of Washington, D.C. and an avid sailor and baseball fan.
I grew up in Haverhill and became Eds friend through the AZA and exchanges between Lowell and Haverhill. Ed took me and my parents on my Bowdoin tour and convinced me to come to Bowdoin. I had only seen him a few times after graduation. But my condolences to his family. Great guy!
I’ve looked for Ed for several years, tried old addresses, old phone numbers.
He was my ‘guide’ for a few decades – I was his friend from 1980-2001 when we lost contact during the “9/11” period, after which I’d looked for him.
