Edwin R. French ’51 died August 18, 2015, in Kingston, New York.

Edwin French, former advertising executive in New York City died August 18 at the Northeast Center for Rehabilitation in Kingston, New York from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Mr. French is a former Vice President of Marsteller, Inc. and, subsequently started his own advertising agency, French/Blitzer/Scott LLC. He retired in 2001. Mr. French is a former officer with the 38th Infantry Division and served with the Atomic Energy Commission with responsibilities in the health and safety aspects of testing operations in the South Pacific. Mr. French grew up in Millinocket, Maine and graduated from Bowdoin College. He attended the Graduate School of Pharmacology at the University of Rochester. Mr. French is survived by his sons, Christopher and Adam, three grandchildren, and his brother, Peter. He was a resident of the Town of Phoenicia. A memorial service is planned for a later date.
