Henry Kort, 87, passed away Sunday, February 22 in Los Angeles, California. Born in Brookline, Massachusetts on April 11, 1927 to Bessie and Abe Koritzky, Henry graduated from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. He raised his family in Newton Center and Weston, Massachusetts, working as a manufacturer’s representative for various hardware lines, before retiring to Boca Raton, Florida. In his free time, Henry enjoyed traveling, animals, reading, playing cards, and rigorously watching the stock market. A hard-working and charitable man, Henry was most passionate about his family and loved them beyond all else. Henry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Zita Kort; his children, Amy Levene, Lee Kort, and Sue McCuddy; his grandchildren, Alex Segal, Alexa Kort, Erika Kort, Lilly McCuddy, Max Segal, and Samantha Levene; his daughter in law, Jill Kort; and his son’s in law, Bill McCuddy and Dan Levene. Henry’s warm spirit, unparalleled sense of humor, and unconditional love will be forever remembered and carried on. He will be missed deeply.
