James Thomas Farr ’58 died on January 16, 2008, in Scarborough, Maine.
Born on June 18, 1936, in Portland, he prepared for college at Cheverus High School and Deering High School there and became a member of Delta Sigma Fraternity at Bowdoin. From 1961 until his retirement in 1999, he was employed by the Maine State Probation and Parole Division for Cumberland and York Counties; he was district supervisor at the time of his retirement. At the time of his death, he was working for Maine Pre-Trial Services as a case manager. He was a volunteer driver for Regional Transportation, a master ham radio operator, and a member of the Mix and Mingle Square Dance Club of Scarborough. He was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Scarborough. He married Susanne Sandra Turcotte in 1960; she died in 2005. He is survived by a daughter, Dianne Farr Bradley of Scarborough, and a brother, Paul Farr of Orono, Maine.
