Jay C. Dings ’57 died on January 3, 2016, in Canadensis, Pennsylvania.

Jay Carleton Dings, 80, of Canadensis, died on Sunday January 3, 2016.
Born in Brockton, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late J Frank and Alice M. Dings.
A graduate of Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, Jay studied German and was a proud member of the Chi Psi Fraternity. After college, Jay went to work for Prudential, where he retired as VP of Field Systems.
After retiring, Jay spent many years traveling and had visited more than two dozen countries. He was also an avid reader and history buff.
He is survived by his two daughters: Glenda Robair and her husband, Kurt, and Pamela Dings, all of Wallingford, Connecticut; two grandsons, Zachary M. Spivey of College Park, Maryland, and Joshua M. Spivey of Wallingford, Connecticut; sister-in-law, Sandy Dings Clausen and her three children; and six grandsons. He was preceded in death by his brother, John “Jack” L. Dings.
