John F. Hoffmann ’82 died on January 5, 2022, in Wall Township, New Jersey.

John F. Hoffmann, 61, of Wall, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. John was born in Oberlin, Ohio, to the late James A. and Mary Ann (Gardinier) Hoffmann, and raised in Natick, MA. After graduating from Bowdoin College, he moved to New Jersey and earned a master’s degree in planning from Rutgers University. He subsequently began his career as a town planner, serving over twenty years as town planner for Wall Township. He retired several years ago. John was violinist who enjoyed listening to all types of music from classical to the Grateful Dead. He also enjoyed hiking and travel, visiting all fifty states. John is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Kyra Hoffmann, and his sister, Susan Hoffmann. Also surviving are his in-laws, Susanne and Jeffrey Kesper, and Holger and Kathy Ahl.
