John W. Lincoln ’66

John W. Lincoln of Marshfield, MA, passed away peacefully at his home on July 11, 2025, at the age of 81.

John was a kind, gentle, caring man who enjoyed traveling, playing computer games, electronics, watching movies (old and new) and, most of all, spending time with his family. He always had the latest and greatest ‘tech’ devices and was the go-to guy to create home videos for special birthdays or events. In years past, John loved motorcycle riding, sporty cars, water sports, and sailing. He never asked for anything, but was always there when you needed him.

John met the love of his life, Linda (Bolsinger) Lincoln of Chicago, IL, while working together at Relocation Resources in Norwell, MA. In 1981 they married and built a beautiful life that they shared together for over forty-four years. One of his favorite places to travel was the island of St. Maarten, where he and Linda had a time-share. He also enjoyed cruising Europe and the Islands and always relaxing with a good scotch at the end of the day!

John was born March 22, 1944, in Hartford, CT, son of the late John R. and Nancy (Weston) Lincoln. He graduated from Loomis School in Connecticut in 1962 and attended Bowdoin College in Maine. Besides his wife, John, a loving father, brother and grandfather, leaves two daughters, Nancy L. Tibbetts of Scituate, MA, and Amy W. Lincoln of Weymouth, MA; a son, John J. Lincoln of Hingham, MA; a sister, Marion “Linc” Hay of Sarasota, FL; two grandchildren, Elizabeth (Tibbetts) Chisolm of Bridgewater, MA, and Taylor L. Tibbetts of Scituate, MA; and three great grandchildren, John, Zoe, and Lucas.
