John Weston Condon ’60 died on December 28, 2006, in Brockton, Massachusetts.
Born on June 13, 1938, in New York City, he prepared for college at Brockton High School and became a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity at Bowdoin. Following his graduation in 1960, he joined the U.S. Army and served several years, attaining the rank of second lieutenant. For a number of years following his military service, he was a teacher at East Junior High School in Brockton, and he was also a salesman for the Corning Glass Company in New York City. Before he was 30 years old he suffered from mental illness, and he was institutionalized for the rest of his life. Surviving are a daughter, Pamela A. Porter of Lexington, MA; his former wife, Ann (Blunt) of Centerville, MA; and three sisters, Jane F. Condon and Susan E. Condon, both of Greenwich, CT, and Nancy C. Allatt, also of Greenwich.
