Joseph Thompson Fraser III ’49 died on February 20, 2004, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Born on October 3, 1927, in Philadelphia, he prepared for college at the Friends Select School there and became a member of Zeta Psi Fraternity at Bowdoin, which he attended from 1945 to 1947. Following his graduation from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of architecture degree in 1952, he was a draftsman and a designer in Paris, France; Stockholm, Sweden; Philadelphia; and Allentown, PA. As an architectural and interior designer, he was vice president of Fraser Designs, Inc. and taught at the Art Institute of Philadelphia.
