Lawrence Blacher ’74 died on March 8, 2023, in Pinecrest, Florida.

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Dr. Lawrence Blacher on March 8th, 2023. Lawrence (Larry) grew up in Brighton, MA and attended Boston Latin School prior to entering Bowdoin College.
Larry is survived by his wife, Dulce, son Eric Blacher (Sarah), daughter Karen Thurston (Matthew) , son Robbie Del Castillo (Maral), daughter Regina Harris (Brandon), daughter Rebeca Blacher, and three adoring grandchildren Ethan, Alivia, and Franklin. Larry is also survived by his loving sisters Judith Berger (Robert) and Carol Henry (Steven), and Magali and Samuel Naon (Dulce’s parents), and his sister and brother-in- law. Lily and Isaac Rousso.
The funeral service was held on Sunday, March 12 at Temple Judea in Coral Gables, Florida.
Dr. Blacher would take our son who was an optimist who became friends who my son treated. Our son was dying of cancer and he would pick up our son at our house with his son Eric and take him to the heat games. He was our doctor also who we loved and are still feel by the loss.
