Leo Nadeau, former custodian on the facilities staff, died on November 1, 2015, in Lewiston, Maine.

LEWISTON: Leo R. Nadeau, 72, of Lewiston passed away Sunday November 1, 2015 at his home at Maison Marcotte in Lewiston. He was born on September 13, 1943 in Sabattus, a son of the late Albert and Leonida (Fontaine) Nadeau. He grew up in the local area and attended Lisbon schools. In his early years, he was a trumpet player and drummer for the Pinetree Warriors. Leo was a custodian for Bowdoin College for many years where he enjoyed the services he provided until his retirement in 2009. During that time he had been and was married to his loving wife Pam (Craig) Nadeau until her passing in 2006. Leo will always be remembered for his love of animals. He and Pam would take in and care for many abandoned strays and show them much love and compassion. He also loved motorcycles and had owned several of them. He is survived by his siblings; Lorette Goulette, Terry Strout and her husband Lee, Pauline Pinard and her husband Bill, Roland Nadeau, Adrien Nadeau, Roger Nadeau and Raymond Nadeau and his wife Edna as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Pam, and his siblings; Albert Nadeau, Jr., Antonio Nadeau, Muriel Nadeau and Cecile Nadeau.
