Paul C. Lewis ’53 died on October 7, 2009, in Springfield, Massachusetts.
He was born on July 13, 1929, in New Bedford, Mass., the son of James A. Lewis (Class of 1915). He prepared for college at Deering High School and Tabor Academy and, at Bowdoin, was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He spent more than 50 years working in retail—a career he thoroughly enjoyed—including positions at McCallum’s, McAuslan Wakelin, Forbes and Wallace, and Ames. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary H. Robator Lewis. He was predeceased by a brother, James M. Lewis ’42.
