It is my unfortunate duty to tell you that my father passed away on the morning of Saturday, September 22.  His melanoma, first diagnosed more than two years ago, became very aggressive this fall, and there was very little that could be done at this stage.  He never had any great physical pains, and was actually unconscious for the last four days.   His funeral will be held here in Jyväskylä, Finland on December 13.
