Peter K. Deeks ’63 died on February 2, 2023, in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Peter K. Deeks, of Charlottesville, VA, and Orleans, MA, passed away on February 2, 2023, at age 81 surrounded by family. Born in Hartford, CT, in November 1941, he was the son of the late John K. and Muriel F. Deeks.
Peter graduated from Bowdoin College in 1963, and received an MBA from Columbia University in 1969. He was commissioned as an officer in the US Navy in September 1963 and separated from the Navy in 1967.
Over a more than thirty-year career in finance, Peter worked for a number of investment banking firms, specializing in private placement.
During retirement, Peter enjoyed community gardening on Cape Cod, tending to his beehives, and contributing to conservation efforts in New Jersey and on the Cape, including the Center for Coastal Studies, the Orleans Conservation Trust, and the Harding Land Trust.
Peter is predeceased by siblings Joslin and John F. Deeks. He is survived by his wife, Susan Deeks, and daughters Ashley and her husband, Mike, and Payton and her husband, John, as well as three grandsons, Tate, Carson, and Ronan.
