Peter M. Pirnie ’55 died on November 17, 2024, in Woodstock, Georgia.

Peter M. Pirnie, 92, who served The Chase Manhattan Bank for thirty-seven years – including posts in London, Brussels, Kuwait, and Liberia – died on November 17, 2024, in Woodstock, GA.
A Massachusetts native, he attended South Kent School and graduated from Bowdoin College in Maine in 1955. He became a captain in the U.S. Army and served in France for eight years before joining Chase.
After his retirement from the Bank, he went on to work for USAID in Washington, D.C. for another twenty-two years.
He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Carolyn Pollard Pirnie. They met when they were both working at Chase in New York City in 1963.
