Robert B. Carpenter ’71 died on December 21, 2022, in Ipswich, Massachusetts.

Robert B. Carpenter

Carpenter, Robert B., born February 9, 1949, to Charlotte and Edward Carpenter, in Boston, MA, passed away on December 21, 2022, at the age of 73, following a years-long battle with cancer. Rob was a beloved husband to Deborah; brother to Glenna, Neal, and Philip; father to Stephen, Matthew, and Meredith; father-in-law to Kristina; grandfather to Claire and Amelia; and uncle, cousin, and friend to many more who will cherish his memory. Rob grew up in Newton, MA, and graduated from Bowdoin College in 1971. He went on to earn his JD from BC Law and his LLM from Temple University Law. Rob loved being a litigator over his forty-plus years of practicing. He also cherished his time gardening, fishing, and boating; no day being complete without an afternoon cruise.
