Rosalie Deschenes Staff
Rosalie Lachance Deschenes, 94, died peacefully on October 8, 2025, in Bath.
She was born in Brunswick on September 21, 1936, the daughter of the late Geoffrey and Matilda (Fournier) Lachance.
Rosalie graduated from Brunswick High School in the class of 1949 and was employed in the offices of Coleman Research Farms Chicken Hatchery; SnowFlake Frozen Foods, a division of H.C. Baxter Company; and retired after more than twenty-nine years at Bowdoin Colleges Hawthorne-Longfellow Library.
On September 20, 1958, she married Roland Deschenes. He passed in 2009.
After surviving cancer at the age of 50, Rosalie was thankful for and appreciated every day of life granted to her.
Rosalie was predeceased by three brothers, Geoffrey, Wilfred and Donald Lachance, three sisters, Aurelie Lachance, Irene Noble, and Iona Osnoe.
She is survived by nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.
