Salvatore Joseph Stagliano ’49 died on March 28, 2001, in Hudson, Florida.
He was born on August 18, 1926, in Cambridge, MA, and prepared for college at Watertown (MA) High School, Bordentown Military Institute in New Jersey, and Perkiomen School in Pennsylvania and became a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity at Bowdoin, which he attended in 1945-46 before serving in the U.S. Army Air Force. He returned to the College for the fall semester of the 1947-48 year. Through the years he was vice president of the Home National Bank and Trust Company of Meriden, CT, and was New England states divisional supervisor for the C.I.T. Financial Corporation. In 1972, he joined the Community National Bank in Framingham, MA, as a vice president. He was a member of the Framingham Rotary Club, the Knights of Columbus, and the Italian-American Civic Organization and was one of the founders of the Westboro American Legion Baseball League. In 1979, he moved to Florida. Surviving is his wife, Susan Stagliano.
