Thomas F. Smith ’64

Thomas F. Smith ’64 died on October 27, 2007, in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania.

He was born September 12, 1942, in Westfield, Mass. He prepared for college at Edgemont High School, where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. While at Bowdoin, he was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He earned his master’s degree at the New School for Social Research in 1967 and then began a career as a personnel manager, first at Grace Line Inc., and then at Harper & Row Publishers Inc. (later called Harper Collins Publishers), where he remained for more than 20 years. He is survived by his wife Veronica H. Smith.
