Thomas S. Radsky ’75 died on June 21, 2012, in Augusta, Maine.

AUGUSTA — Thomas Scott Radsky, age 59, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 21, 2012, at his home. He was born in Augusta, on November 5, 1952, eldest son of the late Alexey and Jean (Lucas) Radsky.
Mr. Radsky graduated from Cony High School as valedictorian of the class of 1971 and with distinction from Bowdoin College, class of 1975, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in economics.
He had been employed with the Maine Department of Conservation as a land use consultant.
He was an extremely selfless individual who dedicated his life to his children, his wife and his community. He served his community as chairman of the Augusta Planning Board in the 1990s. As the former president of Augusta’s Capital Area Youth Softball Association, Mr. Radsky was responsible for leading various projects, including the cultivation of Patriot Field. He spent numerous years of his life on Piggery Road in Augusta, and it was clear to his children and his wife that they were some of the best years of his life. He truly loved the opportunity to give back to his community in a fundamental way.
He was a loving and dedicated father whose thoughtfulness and compassion have molded the ethics and morals by which his children live their lives. He was a wonderfully loving husband who continuously put his family before himself. He wore his heart on his sleeve and was always willing to help in whatever way he could.
Mr. Radsky is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Janet (Soucie) Radsky of Augusta; his son, Robert James Radsky of Gulfport, MS; his daughter, Shannon Marie Radsky of San Francisco, CA; two brothers, David Radsky of Chelsea and Timothy Radsky of Charlottesville, VA, and various nieces and nephews of Georgia.
