William Fredrick Brucksch III ’63

William Fredrick Brucksch III ’63 died on December 31, 2003, in Fox Island, Washington.

Born on September 7, 1941, in Baltimore, MD, he prepared for college at Hopkins Grammar School in New Haven, CT, and became a member of Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity at Bowdoin. Following his graduation in 1963, he served in the U.S. Air Force, with two tours of duty in Vietnam, attaining the rank of captain. He received a doctor of philosophy degree in educational psychology from the University of Cincinnati and worked as a clinical psychologist in Dayton, OH. Surviving are his longtime companion, Barbara Drake of Gig Harbor, WA; a brother, John Brucksch of Smithsburg, MD; and two sisters, Cynthia Brucksch of Deepwater, MO, and Diana Helfrecht of Lakeville, PA.
