Thomas B. Baker, 81, of Emmaus, died June 6, 2023, in Lehigh Valley Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. He was the husband of Ingrid K. (Klerx) Baker. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Thomas E. and Ruth T. Baker. Tom was a math teacher and administrator for Union County Regional High School District for thirty-six  years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Emmaus. He also served as the organist and choir director for St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in South Plainfield, NJ, for forty-eight years. As everyone who knew him knew, music was Tom’s passion. He played the guitar, piano, and organ, and brought joy to so many with his musical gift. Tom also loved mathematics, woodworking, playing pool, his dogs throughout his life, and golf. He enjoyed traveling to the Poconos and spending time at the lake. Tom served as president of the Emmaus Golf League for four years and was a lifetime member of the Mercantile Club of Emmaus and the Elks in South Plainfield, NJ. Above all, he most loved spending time with his family. Tom is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Ingrid; his daughters, Suzanne and her husband, Bob, Cheryl and her husband, Bill, and Kathy and her husband, Eric; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Brendan, Billy, Ryan, Lissy, Taryn, Sydney, and Jackson; sister, Barbara and her husband, Dennis; and many nieces and nephews and extended family. Tom was predeceased by his sister, Joan.
