Carlton B. Wade ’50

Carlton B. Wade ’50 died on May 5, 2015, in Windsor, Colorado.

Carlton Bridgham Wade was born on June 7, 1928, in Wilmington, Delaware. His parents were Charles Norman Wade and Mary Louise Bridgham. He grew up in Rochester, New York, with his sister, Catherine Wade. Carlton studied mathematics and physics at the University of Chicago, and was a graduate student of mathematics. He met Barbara Jean Linden and married in Chicago, Illinois, in 1961. Barbara was from Oak Park, Illinois, and had a daughter, Michele DiMeo. Carlton, Barbara, and Michele moved to Fort Collins, CO, in 1963, where Carlton worked as a researcher and a chemist for Colorado State University.

They had two children: David Linden Wade was born in 1964 and Joanne Bridgham Wade was born in 1966. Joanne married Greg Schumacher, and Michele married Eric Dod. Michele has two daughters, Anya and Eva, Carlton’s grandchildren.

In his retirement years Carlton worked for the Fort Collins Coloradoan, He was a long time resident of Fort Collins, CO, for over fifty years. He passed away at the Windsor Health Care Center on May 5, 2015.
