David L. Berube ’58

David L. Berube ’58 died on January 30, 2018, in Bluffton, South Carolina.

After a three-year battle with bone cancer, David Leo Berube, age 81, of Bluffton, SC, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, surrounded by family. Mr. Berube was born on February 11, 1936, in Providence, RI, the son of the late Leo and Regina Berube. He began his formal education at Bowdoin College and ultimately earned his master’s degree from Brown University. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Following his military tenure he started his career as a high school history teacher. He was an avid tennis player, music lover, and was of Catholic faith. Mr. Berube is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Janice Berube; daughter, Jennifer Berube Lockhart (Ryan); sons, Mark and Evan Berube; brother, Dana Berube; sister, Carol Daniels; and granddaughters, Mary Kathryn and Amelia Lockhart.
