Douglas K. Simonton ’73 died December 12, 2014, in Wilmington, Del. He was born on November 15, 1950, in Wilmington, son of the late William K. Simonton ’43, and prepared for college at Lawrence Academy. He was a member of the Bowdoin Varsity Squash Team and Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He was a CPCU Charter Property Casualty Underwriter, and retired from a long career with Simonton Insurance. He was fourth-generation member of the Rotary Club of Wilmington, and an active member of Christ Church Christiana Hundred where he served as an usher. He is survived by his mother, Marguerite “Daisy” Simonton, and brothers W. Scott Simonton ’76 and Jeffrey Simonton.
