After college, he married his bride, Dorothy and then enlisted in the U.S. Army.

After serving in the Army, he and his family settled in Connecticut where Doug began a career in telecommunications. He was an early adopter of computer technology with a successful career which led to a move to Massachusetts.

Doug soon started his own consulting firm which he ran until he retired. In retirement, he used his many skills while working at Home Depot where he enjoyed meeting and talking to new people every day.

Doug was an avid golfer and always treasured his time at Hawk’s Nest Beach in Connecticut with his family, and he especially enjoyed boating. However, his greatest joy was spending time with his family. Doug’s smile was widest when he was with his grandchildren andgreat-grandchildrenn.
