Dr. Robert M. Chen ’78 died in an automobile accident on March 18, 2013, in Glendale, Ariz. He was born in Taiwan on September 2, 1954, and graduated from Cony High School. He was a double major in biology and economics at Bowdoin, and he was a dean’s list student and James Bowdoin scholar. He spent time as an undergraduate studying at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia and McGill University in Montreal, and went on to earn his DMD from Dalhousie in 1983. He is survived by his wife, Pearl B. Chen.
