Frank A. Paul, Jr. ’55 died on January 4, 2017, in Ballston Lake, New York.

Frank Albert Paul, Jr., age 84, of Ballston Lake, NY, died on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 surrounded by loving family. He was born on October 22, 1932 in New Britain, CT and was the son of the late Frank and Stella (Gurnicki) Paul, Sr. He was raised in Connecticut and graduated from New Britain High School, playing for the championship basketball team and honored at the National Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA. After blowing up the Chemistry lab and switching to an Art History major, Frank earned his Bachelor Degree from Bowdoin College in 1955. He had a fulfilling career at General Electric Co. until he retired as an advertising executive. Frank was a US Army veteran, served overseas and was honorably discharged in 1964. He had lived in Ballston Lake since 1968. He was the husband of Marlene (Schultz) Paul whom he married on October 29, 1955; father of Karen Frances Paul Sipe (Roderick) and Keith Albert Paul (Karen). Grandfather of Benjamin Matthew Sipe (Brittany), Evan Elizabeth Sipe, Thaddeus Augustus Sipe and Maud Katherine Sipe and great-grandfather to Elliot Nathanael Sipe. Frank was an avid golfer, enjoyed sailing and photography. He had an eye for design and a great deal of perseverance in problem solving.
