Frederick H. Clarkson, Jr. ’45

Frederick H. Clarkson, Jr. ’45 died December 20, 2013, in Springfield, Mass. He was born on March 28, 1923, in New York City, and prepared for college at Phillips Exeter Academy. He was a member of Chi Psi fraternity at Bowdoin, and he studied for a year at College of the City of New York. He spent his career in industrial advertising, including as ad manager at Cuno Engineering in Connecticut and at L.S. Starrett Co. and American Saw, both in Massachusetts. He was a member of the North Quabbin Lodge of the Masons and for many years was a member of the Wilbraham Country Club. He is survived by his wife, Jean Clarkson; sister Katharine McDonald; sons Frederick III and John Clarkson; and two grandsons.
