Gary B. Smith died on September 3, 2023, in Sangerville, Maine.

Gary B. Smith

Gary Bennett Smith of Sangerville, Maine, passed away September 3, 2023, after a long-term illness at the age of 72. Born in East Harpswell, Maine, on December 2, 1951, to Lillian and Harold Smith. He is predeceased by his three brothers.

He was a former custodian for Bowdoin College for many years, until his love for fishing and hunting sent him to Sangerville. He worked as a custodian for SAD #4 in Guilford, Maine, until his retirement. He was a member of the ATV Club and a proud Mason. He was also a gifted musician and had a passion for music.

He is survived by his sister, Doris E. Darling of Cundy’s Harbor, and his faithful companion Jake. Gary leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
