George Bertrand Paull, Jr. ’39 died on July 7, 2007, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Born on December 22, 1915, in New York City, he prepared for college at the Loomis School in Windsor, Conn., and became a member of Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity at Bowdoin. Following his graduation in 1939, he worked in advertising in New York until 1941, when he joined the U.S. Navy, serving in World War II until 1946 and attaining the rank of lieutenant commander. After the war, he worked in directory advertising in New York and studied for a year at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. He was married in 1943 to Helen Davidson, who predeceased him, and is survived by two daughters, Cynthia D. Paul and Lois Paull.
