George F. Howland ‘ 57

George F. Howland ’57 died on January 2, 2012, in Canton, Connecticut.

He was born on August 25, 1935, in Newton, Mass., son of the late Winslow R. Howland ’29, and prepared for college at Newton High School. He was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He earned a master’s degree from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1959 and was employed throughout his professional career as a trust officer and investment advisor for a number of firms. He was a member and past treasurer of Trinity Episcopal Church in Collinsville, Conn., and was a Republican Register of Voters. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Elaine Koulis Howland; two daughters, Jessica Elizabeth Howland and Pamela Cole; three sons, Winslow Robinson Howland, William George Howland, and John Howard Howland ’87; a sister, Susan Howland Devey; and five grandchildren.
