Harry Fairfield Brockington ’46 died on February 5, 2005, in Manville, Rhode Island.
Born on July 17, 1924, in Springfield, IL, he prepared for college at Canisius High School in Buffalo, NY, and became a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity at Bowdoin, which he attended for a year before serving in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1945 during World War II, attaining the rank of ensign. After graduating from Bowdoin in 1947 as a member of the Class of 1946, he had a number of positions, including one with the Bristol Company in Waterbury, CT, and another as an engineer in Vestal, NY.
