Hebron E. “Hebe”Adams ’52 died December 8, 2014, in South Paris, Maine. He was born in Westbrook on September 3, 1930—son of the late Hebron Mayhew Adams, Class of 1914—and graduated from Thornton Academy. He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He did graduate work at Temple University and American University, then received his PhD in Operations Research from Lancaster University in England in 1970. He served to corporal for two years in the Army, stationed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He began his career at the Westinghouse Corporation in Pennsylvania, then moved to the Operations Research Office in Chevy Chase, Md., a civilian military research center founded by the Army and run under contract by Johns Hopkins University. He worked for ORO and its successors, Research Analysis Corporation and General Research Corporation, then went on to work as a systems analyst at the Department of Housing and Urban Development. He is survived by daughters Jenny Adams and Heather Adams Miller ’88 and three grandsons. He was predeceased in 2009 by Nancy Ann Foxon, his wife of 47 years.
