Leonard G. Plasse ’56

Leonard G. Plasse ’56 died on January 13, 2021, in Palm Bay, Florida.

Leonard Plasse, 87, of Barefoot Bay died Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Riverview Senior Resort, Palm Bay, FL.

He was born to the late Ernest and Adrienne Plasse on April 29, 1933 in Webster, MA. Len graduated from Taunton High School in 1952 and received his degree in Economics from Bowdoin College in 1956. He married Joanne Weck Plasse in 1982 and they lived in Forked River, NJ, and Barefoot Bay, FL, before moving permanently to Barefoot Bay in 2012.

Leonard worked at Prudential Insurance Co in Boston before transferring to PRUPAC in Linwood, NJ.  He retired in 1991 with thirty-five years of service. After retirement Len started playing tennis and was a member of the BB Tennis Club. He combined his passion for tennis with his love for kids and was the junior varsity tennis coach for ten years at two Ocean County, NJ high schools.

Len is survived by his wife, Joanne, his sisters, Priscilla Adams and Dolores (Larry) Silvia; his daughter, Pamela Britland, and grandson, Michael; his brother-in-law (who became his brother), Paul (Mary) Weck; his very special little buddy Jeffrey Sachetillo who visited him many Sunday afternoons; and three generations of nieces and nephews.
