Morris Edmundson ’58

Morris Edmundson ’58 died on May 12, 2011, in Darnestown, Maryland.

Morris Edmundson, 73, an East Asian analyst in the CIA’s Directorate of Intelligence from 1964 to 1992, died of respiratory failure May 12 at his home in Darnestown.

Mr. Edmundson’s CIA assignments included Tokyo and the National Security Council staff.

Morris Francis Edmundson was a native of Dublin, N.H., and a 1958 graduate of Bowdoin College in Maine. He received a master’s degree in international relations from the University of Southern California in 1962, then spent a few years in the Navy.

He played in bridge tournaments.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Margery Chamberlin Edmundson of Darnestown.
