Philip L. Eliason ’59 died on January 31, 2025, in Norway, Maine.

Norway – Philip L. Eliason, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the age of 87. Our Lord gave him mercy and safe passage to a better place.
He was born on April 29, 1937, in Portland, Maine. He was the son of Linwood and Alice Eliason. He had two stepsisters, Sandy and Chris, and a stepmom, Glenna (deceased). Phil had three children, Larry, Cheryl, and Mark along with Jackie (Larry’s wife), two grandsons, and a great grandson, and Phil’s first wife, Katie.
Phil was a widower as his late wife Barbara passed away in 2016. Phil had four stepchildren, Kathy, Debbie, Gary and Bobby (deceased) along with their spouses, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Phil attended Cheverus High School, Bowdoin College, and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He had a long-time career in the Dental Laboratory Business in sales including Eliason Dental Lab of Portland and Cadence Dental Lab of Windham and he visited with many dentists across Maine over the years.
Phil liked fast toys and raced Polaris snowmobiles in the 1970s. He was very good at working on sleds to get them to their top performance. Phil was a tinkerer, and he always had projects going on at his home. He was a long-time member of the NRA, and in his younger years was an avid deer and moose hunter and a freshwater fisherman.
