Raymond S. Petterson died on April 22, 2020, in New Jersey. He graduated from Bowdoin College in 1953, where he played on the college baseball team and was a member of the Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity. His was married for sixty-five years to Marilyn, who predeceased him in death in 2018. He actively supported the Bowdoin alumni fundraising programs throughout his life and was pleased to pass on the Bowdoin legacy to his granddaughter, Kaitlyn Sansone, who graduated from Bowdoin in 2013.
Rest in peace, Ray. I’m so glad we had a chance to catch up at the end of 2019. I had the chance to tell you how much your faith in me made such an impact on my career and my life. You were a supportive, instructive, and honest boss and mentor. The knowledge I gained from you has guided me throughout my life. You and Marilyn were so dear and you both will be missed dearly.
